L.A.'s never been my kind of scene
I've never been known as one to follow suit
New York can be cold & mean
I feel more at home in my cowboy boots
The city life just ain't my cup of tea
I've been bound to leave and not look back
The cornfields might be home but it ain't me
There's a place I've never been and I want to get back
Colorado ME in the morning wake me up to a rocky mountain high
With the snow blowin' in the wind through the trees reachin' up
High into a Colorado sky
Ten thousand feet and climbin' higher
I can see all the way to eternity
Gonna build a log cabin with my own two hands
Make a livin' by livin' off the land in the land of the free
Colorado ME
It's a hurry up world I'm living in
All my black and white is turnin' grey
It's clear I've had enough of where I've been
When tomorrow is nothin' more than another day
Colorado ME in the morning wake me up to a rocky mountain high
With the snow blowin' in the wind through the trees reachin' up
High into a Colorado sky
Ten thousand feet and climbin' higher
I can see all the way to eternity
Gonna build a log cabin with my own two hands
Make a livin' by livin' off the land in the land of the free
Colorado Me
