I've climbed the highest mountain and looked over
Made a couple friends along the way
I've laughed with all the sunshine
And cried along with rain
Stayed awake all night to greet the new day

I've listened to the preacher teach salvation
Heard a teacher preach just follow your heart
I've learned a lot of lessons
And even taught a few
Reached the end and made a brand new start

So don't cry for me when I'm gone
I won't be gone too long
But you see it's time for me to go away
Please try to get along
And right all that is wrong
And I'll see you all in paradise someday

I've seen a million people in my travels
Spent a lot of time in my own mind
I've taken lots of chances
And I think it's safe to say
I'll leave a lot of memories behind

I've come to know the meaning of a rainbow
And why the seasons change the way they do
I'm not sure where I'm going
But I know just where I've been
I don't know where I'll be without you
